Multilayer PCB Design
4 to 16-layer boards with a proper stack-up, clean routing and well-managed power and ground planes.
DOMAINS
A good board is more than connected parts; from stack-up to final test, every step affects stability and manufacturability. These are the areas I have worked in:
4 to 16-layer boards with a proper stack-up, clean routing and well-managed power and ground planes.
Trace width and stack-up for target impedance (50 Ω single-ended, 100 Ω differential), agreed with the fab.
DDR, USB, Ethernet and PCIe: length matching, differential pairs and signal integrity.
Switching and linear supplies, decoupling, return-current paths and ripple reduction.
Noise and interference reduction with proper grounding, filtering and shielding so the board passes EMC tests.
Gerbers, BOM and pick-and-place files, plus coordination with the factory for error-free production.
